I was gonna post a review... But I was cleaning all day yesterday! But today, is a different story, I'm doing nothing! So here are my thoughts:
SO FREAKING AWSOME!!!!!!!! I LOVED and I do mean LOVED this movie. It had so much heart. I don't care what people are saying (the stupid reviewers) They just don't have a heart then because there was so much truth in that film. I put it up there as one of Pixar's best, yup I said it, I put it right up there with Monsters INC. and Incredibles.
I really hope this movie does well, because it should. The story was so good. It was a nice simple story. I think that is why people are knocking it. They forgot what a nice simple story is like. I don't care if Lassater took time to develop the characters in the 2nd act. All the critics complain it's slows down here. I DON'T FRACKING CARE. This is a story that need the time to develop, and I'm glad J Lo had the guts to do it. It pays off so much in the end.
I also think this film has a miysaki influenced feel to it. Yes I really do think so. It's story is done much like a miysaki film. Lasseter gives the time that is needed for the moments in the film. What people think is a film starting to drag, its really moments that gives us deeper insite into these characters. Miyasaki does this too, he really focuses on building characters, especially Spirited Away. I'm just happy to see the influence miysaki in this film.
So yes, my hats off to John Lasseter. I loved this film, and I think most of America ill love it. Becuase it's full of truths and heart that really isn't in many movies anymore. I say this is another hit for Pixar and they are now Seven for Seven, and the Hollywood critics and whoever else thinks the opposite, need to keep watching Cars until they do get it. This movie is called good film making, and it's time people understand that!

it felt really good to just forget about life and go out to see a pixar movie.
it did what a film needed to do. it did what i needed a film to do.
i don't need to see it top incredibles, i just needed to get engaged in a world that's not mine, with problems that arn't my own, and to feel good when all the payoffs paid off. the theater that i was in clapped after one man band AND when the little europian pit-stop thingie car thing had his moment at the race. i'd like to bet that that kind of thing didn't happen during over the hedge.
(though, i still find it really weird to see a car flap its tounge around. i mean, at least shoes have tounges...but cars? )

I'm kind of on the fence with this film. I consider a film good if my mind goes back to it. My mind keeps revisiting this film but not because for its emotional impact but its visuals. This movie doesn't resonate with me as much as recent Pixar fare.
I consider a movie good if I'm willing to watch a movie in the theaters three times. I'll watch "Cars" again but once more and only if someone paid for my ticket.
I'm not saying its a bad movie. I've heard people call this film "The Best Dreamworks Movie Pixar ever made."
I'm on the fence on this one like that old rooster riddle.
A rooster sits on a fence and lays an egg into a neighbors back yard. Who gets the egg?No one does because roosters don't lay eggs.
Well,Pixars a rooster and I think it laid a nice colorful easter egg.

I liked it, but I thought it was about the least intense Pixar movie so far...No real villains, monsters or death. I guess there's a place in the world for that kind of movie, but I can see why it doesn't grab people the same way. And there were a lot of fart jokes. (As with ROBOTS, what is it about fart jokes and inorganic characters? Weird...) On the other hand, having just come back from Moab, it was really cool to see all the desert stuff. Very beautiful.^^ (I also thought the stupid tow truck would get on my nerves, but he was pretty funny.)

Moro how long were you in Moab!? That's AWESOME! I just went there like 3 weeks ago! It's so pretty there! What did you do while you were there? We hiked a bit and then we went river rafting down the Green which sounds really scary but it was actually TOTALLY fun! One of the funnest things I've ever done. I would recommend it to anyone! Did you get to see Delicate Arch? Or Balanced Rock? That's where they filmed The Last Crusade. Man it makes me happy that you went there!

(We drove along next to the Green River quite a bit, but never got that close...) We did a lot of cool stuff, though- we went all over Canyonlands and Needles, hiked up to the Delicate Arch, went on the Fiery Furnace hike, which was very cool, drove up into the La Sal Mts., checked out Onion Creek and the Fisher Towers (which are incredibly surreal), befriended a raven, made BBQ shrimp on our grill at the KOA, caught a beautiful collared lizard, made BBQ collared lizard...... That last part isn't true.=p Anyway, unless the x-ray machine at the airport destroyed our film, I should be able to post some photos soon.^__^ EDIT- We didn't take this picture of the Fisher Towers, and it doesn't really do justice to the place, which looks like a natural Angkor Wat from some angles, but I just wanted to share.
