Since Jen hasn't finish harry potter 6th book yet... here's bone, at least she finished that. hehehe. Everyone knows Bone right? Well, if you don't ... NOW IT IS TIME TO READ IT! There's also a list online where Jeff Smith the author is touring the Bone series. www.boneville.com/townhall/ Currently Jeff is coloring all of the bone comic, ... i personally don't care if it is in color or b/w... but some disagree. Pen told me he likes it b/w more 'cause it feels more nostaglic and dimensional.

i agree with pen. i really like the black and white stuff. he creates such a nice balance and aesthetic with the black and white. the colored covers acted as accents to the overall artwork which was nice, but i don't think it needs to be colored.
do you know if he's doing it himself or if he's getting the guy who colored his covers to do it? that guy did some nice work.

all i remember was the phoney bone yelled at some old lady. I think she beat the crap out of him afterwards (after revealing her muscles) i was only 8 at the time and had no idea what was going on. it seemed pretty cool though i didn't know it was so popular

I read pen's copy of the Bone Collected works.
It was fun, entertaing and I couldn't put it down till I finished it. Disney better get their hands on this one so they can fuck it up good.

eah i guess i do like the b/w a little better, but i like the color too. i think jeff smith is coloring it himself, at least that's what he made it sound like at the con.
OH! Disney adventures!! yeah that's when i first found out about it too. should've ask him what was going on back then.
I know many ppl are going to be disagreeing with me but I think the Bone movie (if ever comes out) should be shot liveaction with the bone characters classically (<--justin! I am not calling it 2D) animated. Like mary poppin and rogerrabbit (argh, and spacejam..~_~). but i have a feeling it is going to be all CG, that's what jeff said at the con. he was impressed with incredibles! I wish I can warn him though, that's good 'cause it is pIXAR. There are pixar and miyazaki, and then the "others".

Bone is so frickin' sweet. I like both the black and white, and the color. They both have things that are cool about them.

i'll admit, it DID look pretty sweet all colored in disney adventures. just that if he releases it in color no one will appreciate the black and white. i remember once i was reading Bone at a friends house(sometime in middle school) and her mom walked by and asked "Why is it in black and white? are you supposed to color it in?" the moment the colored print hits the shelves, though, you KNOW i'll be checkin' it out

Bone is dope..
but I like the b/w better.. It seems like he designed the page with black and white.. and the computerized color is an afterthought.. to me it looks kinda tacky that way-it has a Image Comic quality look to it that throws me off.. It's always bad news when ur adding color to something designed to be black and white..
I think it would look awesome if it was like Calvin and Hobbes watercolors..
that would be dope

the original cover of issue 2 and jeff smith's version of that one issue that they printed with four different "collectors" covers were both done wither watercolor.
