Obviously you all know about "The Hitchhiking Viking."- A viking stuck on an island has a few visitors before he gets picked up by the titanic at the end. I still need to work on the middle, don't know if it's funny enough yet. The positive thing about it is it's pretty close to being done so that's good.
"A Moving Picture" - Either Just a kid, or maybe a family (depending on how much I want to animate) Is getting their picture taken. (It would be set in the old times where they use to have to sit still for the cameras.) Basically a lot of character stuff....just the idea so far.
The next few would all be Sea Captain/Pier/Docks themed. I really want to make a film with those in it so I'm trying to come up with a short simple one.
"The Dock's Doc"- A doctor's office on the pier...funny sea accidents and things like that.
"Pier Pressure"- A young kid being pressured by the kids on the pier (It would obviously be a lot more detailed but that's all I cam up with until I found out "The Pier Pressure" is a boat in Nemo) So I kinda stopped thinking about it.
"Dock, Dock, Who's There?" Either early in the morning or late at night, a guy is on the docks and somethings around....kind of funny and scary.
Yeah, anyway, this is getting pretty long, I have a ton of titles, puns of course, so I'm still working on it.
Oh, and if I do a Sea Captain film, I'll be using the names
Barney Cull and Saul T. Waters.
Any input would be appreciated!

I think the hitchiking viking has the most to it, at least its the most unique. Next I'd say I like the Dock's Doc, because that is also a unique idea. I mean, I don't really have a concept of a doctor being at a pier, so you could do a lot with it and have the audience not really knowing what to expect next.

But you can't pass up a title like "Pier Pressure"! And I've frame by framed all the boat scenes in Nemo, and never once saw that one, so it's their own fault for not showing that boat model in the movie. I'd say it's all yours.
And if you're really that worried about it, then you should make a short called "Pierre Pressure." I don't know what it would be about, but surely you should try to incorporate a baguette wearing a striped muscles shirt, a beret, and smoking a cigarette.
But all of these ideas are GOLD!

You know Justin, it's weird, you and me have pretty much the exact same process for coming up with films. First come up with a theme that we find interesting, (in your case, nautical ne'er-do-wells) and then look within that theme to locate a proper pun title.
In fact, your "XXX Marks the Spot" film reminded me of a film I made with my friend Elliot in 11th grade called "Blunder of the Plunderers" in which a crew of salty pirates crashes into MTV's "Spring Break" island. The trouble begins when the look-out pirate spots a bunch of dancing bikini babes with his spyglass.
Captain: "What is it, Swilly? What do you see?"
Swilly: "Booty! And looottttsss of it!"
CaptainL "Really? Full chests?"
Swilly: "That too"
Captain: "Blimey! Alright men, batten down the hatches! Shiver the timbers! Swash the buckes!"
...and so on and so on. In the end they strike a deal with Carson Daly and become a musical group called "The Pillage People" and sing YMCA. Believe it or not, it's actually worse than it sounds.
I actually kind of like the old-timey picture taking one, as a simple character piece. Then again, I've kind of got this hang-up on old timey films. (Hence my obsession with "The Wrong Brothers." I love it...so...much!!)
Pier Pressure is title gold, but you'd need to come up with a story equally hilarious to excuse using it.
The Hitchhiking Viking is still my favorite, mostly because Vikings are inherently hilarious.

PS: I've been tenuously contemplating making a film called "Gnome Arrest" involving a slick garden-gnome thief who gets more than he bargained for when he steals an actual gnome. But...I dunno. We'll see.

My god. You three are amazing. So many puns.... I ... I ..... must hone my pun skills.
Is "hone" a word? Is that how you spell it? Jesus. I guess for now, I'll just work on my using real words and spelling them correctly skills.
Oh and Justin I also like the Hitchhicking Viking and the Doctor by the Pier ones. I guess they just seem the most interesting to me!

Story and Puns! Life could not be any better, at this moment. It seems you've got the idea for the Viking one worked out the most so far, but the Dock Dock idea of a dark pier and scary things... like tentacles- makes me happy. Lots of possibility to manipulate your audience. Go justin go! Right now film noir and western are battling for control of my future. The noir one is long, but quite diffrent and strange that I boarded last year, (3ish min), and the western is short chain reaction based bit called One Horse Town (no longer than 2mins), but with 5 characters. holy smokes it's our SENIOR YEAR!
